National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
On Tuesday, September 30, our school and all Wolf Creek schools will be closed in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This is an important time for all Canadians to reflect on the history and legacy of residential schools, to honor Survivors, and to remember the children who never made it home.
At Eckville Elementary, we are committed to listening, learning, and fostering understanding as part of the path toward reconciliation. We encourage families to take time together on this day to reflect, learn, and engage in conversations that help us all move forward with respect and compassion.
Orange Shirt Day will be observed on Monday, September 29.
